Home Entertainment for Emotional Support

When someone you care about is experiencing serious stress in their life, you need to throw them an M.W.A. Day Party. What is this you ask? Well, it stands for "Man, what a day!" It works for divorce, firings, breakups, breakdowns, depression or basic irritation.

  • This is how it works. Use solid colored napkins for the guests, nothing flashy bland is better; beige for instance. The guest of honor should have a setting that stands out, fuchsia works great, or something to that effect. This keeps the focus on them and helps the party stay on course. A paper centerpiece should be present on the table, (Something that people can write on!)
  • After a fair amount of coffee and dessert, one guest at a time will write a few appropriate words on the centerpiece concerning some of their tough spots, just enough to remind your forlorn friend that they are not alone, that others have problems too... It's like the old saying; "Misery loves company", it works every time.
  • At the end of the evening, the guest of honor takes the centerpiece home with the knowledge that they are not alone in their troubles. They have indisputable proof.
  • The trick is, to carry the paper around during the coming days. The emotional cane adds the necessary support.
